SLEAZE: 'Uniform Party' (not to conform)

For quite some years now Shayne Budgen (City Gym) and Sasha Mitrovic (Future Entertainment & Productions, SA) have been staging Adelaide’s Sleaze Ball. So, what have they got in store for us this year? Read on…

Every year we look forward to putting on this most prestigious event for the GLBTIQ communities and open-minded people of Adelaide… but this year has truly been special for us. We’ve managed to secure as a venue the holy grail of SA Sleaze, The Old Adelaide Gaol (Jail)!

This venue will be fondly remembered by some of our scene’s founding brothers and sisters and more to the point has not been used in the gay scene for over 15 years! Most of us out there have never had the opportunity to experience this truly awesome venue in full flight with Sleaze Ball pumping its walls, corridors and cell blocks to full capacity! We will feature three dance floor arenas, an entire wing for our Mistress of pleasure and pain, Gabrielle and a VIP lounge area. There’s a stall hall, food, adult entertainment supplied by Risqué and Ms Love, an unforgettable show from Essential Talent, singers, other performers and artists together with our lighting and sound specialist Andy J. All this will bring this most amazing venue to life in a way that is unique and not to be missed!

The theming is an obvious choice considering the venue – a Uniform Party (Not to Conform!) But the catch is of course to sex it up, dress it down, get sleazy with it and (as always) less is best! Check out the kink and uniforms available from Costume Land, Adult Super Store or Love Mechanics as all have a great variety to choose from!

We’d like to thank our regular sponsors and welcome aboard a few of the newbies. Fresh 92.7 and Pimpjuice both joined us this year as our naming rights partners. We’re sure this will mean our biggest event so far. We are quietly optimistic 2009 could tip the scales as the biggest Sleaze in SA history. Our continued major sponsors Gay Destination, Andy J Lighting and Sound, The Strand Café @ Glenelg, Unicorn Brewery, Essential Talent and NAP Finance have, together with our many other sponsors and supporters, guaranteed the financial future of this event.

Don’t forget we are proud supporters of our unique scene here in SA with $5 from each ticket and $2 from every bottle of water sold going to ACSA (AIDS Council of SA). Again we’re sure we’ll be able to hand over to ACSA our largest donation to date.

We have secured Live on Light Square as our official after party venue – which proved very successful and popular last year. Free entry to all our Sleaze Ball attendees! Otherwise $20. $2 from every water sold will also go to ACSA from the After Party.

Tickets are still available through our many outlets at $70. They will also be available at the door (if not sold out but will go up to $100). Ticket sales have been record breaking, so don’t hesitate or you may miss out!

Enjoy the Feast Festival and we look forward to seeing you all out and proud.
