Amazon glitch a prank?

Since Friday gay and lesbian books were disappearing from popular online retailer Amazon, causing a big online outrage over the weekend. But now it looks like the so-called glitch by Amazon officials could well have been a hacker attack.

A quick recap: on Friday several gay-themed books started disappearing from the Amazon sales rankings. The books were still available on the site but could not appear on best-seller lists. The following day several more disappeared.

Twitter and social network users noticed the disappearance and started accusing the retailer of censorship and homophobia.
